Emotions - Deep Love Affair with Ourselves.

Our emotions are a door way to the Inner World. By neither repressing them, nor expressing, by not hiding behind our story - who is responsible and what to do next - we can have a direct experience of them.

 

When we experience a difficult emotion such us anger or frustration, usually the tendency is to blame ourselves, somebody or anything that is outside of us, hoping that the emotion can be released. By choosing to turn our attention inward and give attention to the emotion there is a possibility to meet it fully, without speaking it, without keeping it hidden. Just recognizing it or even tacking its physical consistency in our body, letting it be there. This experience might take you to a deeper space then irritation. It might take you to a deeper fear stored in the unconscious. There could be something different reviled; a sadness, hurt, or even sweetness and joy, or simply black whole and a SPACE where there is nothing - and even this can be experienced as a place - often run away from by the mind - fully.

 

Each moment we simply bring the attention to an emotion, staying present with it as an experience or as a sensations in the body, perhaps even gently ‘kissing’ it with our breath we move towards that SPACE, over and over again. As the inner SPACE becomes more settle, we might notice that we do not loose ourselves anymore in a reaction to daily life situations, or even if we do, we can easier become aware of it and bring ourselves back. We might feel less pain created by resistance - therefore living in a state of powerlessness and constant fight with what is.

 

A direct, full experience of our emotions, could be a profound way to experience oneself. In the core of any emotional state, where there is no running to so called positive states, and running away from so called negative states, there is only SPACE, an awareness, as an experience. Whatever arises in consciousness can be meet fully by consciousness - that's a pristine meeting.
